Modernizations and upgrades that lift output, efficiency and reliability.
Performance uprates, combustor conversions and controls modernization that lift output, heat rate and reliability — without major infrastructure changes.
What's inside this service line.
Each engagement is scoped against your assets, operating profile and commercial objectives — then executed through XVENTURES' global service network.
Advanced hardware packages that increase MW output and improve heat rate.
DLN and low-emission combustor upgrades aligned with the latest environmental limits.
Mark VIe / Excitation / HMI upgrades for plants running on legacy control systems.
Fuel-flexibility upgrades to operate on hydrogen blends and prepare for the energy transition.
The case for getting this right.
An installed asset can stay competitive for decades — but only if the hardware, combustion system and controls evolve with the market. Capacity, ancillary services and emissions limits all keep moving.
Our modernization programs are engineered as drop-in retrofits sized to fit existing outage windows. Each upgrade is paired with a measured business case: incremental MW, lower heat rate, emissions headroom and optionality on hydrogen blending.
A four-step delivery model.
Predictable execution comes from a repeatable process — applied to every engagement, tuned to each asset and operating profile.
- 01Fleet Assessment
Operating data, configuration and market position reviewed against the available upgrade catalogue.
- 02Business Case
Output, heat-rate, emissions and reliability deltas modeled into a per-unit NPV and payback view.
- 03Engineering & Procurement
Site-specific engineering, long-lead manufacture and integration with the next planned outage.
- 04Installation & Validation
Hardware installation, controls tuning and performance test against guarantees.
What you get at hand-back.
- Upgrade business case and NPV model
- Engineering and integration package
- Commissioning and tuning plan
- Performance and emissions test report
- Updated O&M procedures and training
Across the global installed base.

Advanced hardware package added 28 MW per unit.
Three F-Class units re-bladed and re-tuned with the latest advanced-gas-path package during a standard major inspection window. Output rose 6.8% per unit and heat rate dropped 1.4%, with full re-baselining inside the original outage envelope.
Engineered outcomes, not just scopes of work.
- Up to 7% additional output on F-Class assets
- Heat-rate improvements without civil works
- Drop-in retrofits engineered around outage windows
- 8.5M+ hours operating on hydrogen fuels
Common questions.
- Can upgrades fit inside a scheduled outage?
- Most packages are engineered as drop-in retrofits with zero to seven days of incremental outage time, integrated into a planned MI or HGPI.
- Do you support a hydrogen road-map?
- Yes. Combustor and controls packages are sequenced to take an asset from current limits to higher hydrogen blends as fuel becomes available.
- Who underwrites the performance guarantees?
- Output and heat-rate guarantees are issued and tested by XVENTURES post-commissioning.
